Celebrating and preserving the performing arts in Westmoreland County
Our mission
The Theatre Factory is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the performing arts in Westmoreland County. We are proud to provide a home for actors, singers, musicians, designers, and artists throughout the community. Your support makes our work possible – including our Kidworks program for the education of young performers, and our scholarship program that benefits local high school seniors.

The Fabulous Fable Factory is a lively, kid-friendly musical about a curious young person who stumbles into a magical factory run by Aesop, where stories are created. When the factory is missing its “Moral Maker,” the child helps bring it back to life as classic fables like The Tortoise and the Hare and The Lion and the Mouse are acted out – each with an important lesson about kindness, honesty, and perseverance.
A new stage. A new home. A new chapter.
As we celebrate 30 incredible years in Trafford, we’re also looking ahead: this fall, The Theatre Factory will be moving to a new home at Aluminum City Arts in New Kensington. We are thrilled to join a vibrant, creative community and continue bringing bold, engaging theater to Westmoreland County in an exciting new space. More information about upcoming productions, programming, and the transition to the new space will be shared in the coming months.
