Celebrating and preserving the performing arts in Westmoreland County

Our mission

The Theatre Factory is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the performing arts in Westmoreland County. We are proud to provide a home for actors, singers, musicians, designers, and artists throughout the community. Your support makes our work possible – including our Kidworks program for the education of young performers, and our scholarship program that benefits local high school seniors.

A heart-filled and hilarious parody that flips the familiar wizarding world on its head!

Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic follows Wayne and his fellow underdog housemates as they navigate spells, friendships, and battles they were never meant to fight. With zany humor, quick-witted storytelling, and a cast of characters you’ll instantly root for, Puffs is a magical comedy for anyone who’s ever felt like the sidekick instead of the hero.

This show contains adult language and situations. It is not recommended for children under 13.

*Note: Puffs is an unauthorized parody that is completely unaffiliated with J.K. Rowling. We believe theater should be a space that uplifts the very people Rowling has targeted, and we’re proud to produce this parody in that spirit. Producing Puffs is one way we can reclaim a cultural phenomenon from its harmful creator and instead use it to spark laughter, community, and inclusivity. We hope you’ll see our production not as an endorsement of Rowling, but as a reimagining that takes power away from her narrative and places it in the hands of those who have often been sidelined.
